Donald Trump was not a top presidential candidate according to Google

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign was not on top as far as Google was concerned.

On Wednesday morning, anyone who entered “presidential candidates” as a Google search may have been surprised to find that Trump wasn’t among the top results.

While Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein popped up prominently in the top bar,  Trump and Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson only appeared in the news results below.

It didn’t take long for Google to repair the bug on Wednesday and issue the following statement about what happened:

We found a technical bug in Search where only the presidential candidates participating in an active primary election were appearing in a Knowledge Graph result. Because the Republican and Libertarian primaries have ended, those candidates did not appear. This bug was resolved early this morning.” — Google Spokesperson

But some Trump supporters cried conspiracy:
